Spoilers, don't read on!!! Average movie at best. Very rushed, The scorpion/sub zero story was great (beginning and end of movie). Cole young character wasn't necessary in this film at all as the movie tells the same story as the game, scorpion rising from the dead to avenge his family's death at the hands of subzero. Kano was fantastic, as was the dynamic with Sonya Blade. Killed off the best characters far too early (if a sequel) that were heavily advertised as main characters (Kung Lao, Goro and Kano, unlikely to see reptile make an appearance aswell).

Decent thriller, I wouldn't necessarily call it a horror film. Good overall concept but could have easily done without the constant flashbacks of the two main characters, a brief history at the beginning of the film would be all it needed to explain the circumstances and leave the viewer to put the pieces together throughout.

Not a bad movie, good concept, well executed and an ending any horror fan wouldn't guess.

Typical slasher film, if you're a fan of the genre, this is pretty much a "how to make a slasher movie" drunk girls, flat cell phones, maniacal clown, cars with no keys available or flat battery/tyres. Very gory, well made, but not a film that I'd watch again.
