A convoluted mess in comparison to the first in the new series. The characters feel empty and disjointed, the plot is full of holes and the ending "twist" is pure schlock. Yet more proof that J.K. Rowling is a fantastic world-builder, but a terrible writer when it comes to writing something coherent.

A perfect conclusion to the franchise, BCS notwithstanding. Those who claim that its ending was "lacklustre" or "short on drama" are missing the point; it wasn't supposed to be full of adrenaline or action. Without going into spoilers, the ending is perfect for the character of Jesse Pinkman, given events in the series and the character arc that he undergoes.
