I just watched this show for the first time in a long while...as usually I am at church when the program airs. I am a news junkie and it was interesting to hear intelligent commentary.
I also find it interesting that of so many people who dislike our president and have nothing good to say about him, in spite of many positive accomplishments, really just don't like him because his personality rubs them the wrong way. I wonder how many of them could shoulder the myriad responsibilities set upon him? Have they ever uttered a word of frustration, or an angry, thoughtless critique against themselves?
I would caution those to consider Jesus before the pharisee and the adulterous woman....as the pious leaders selected a rock with which to stone her. He didn't engage in name calling, or violence or anger. He simply said, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."
Admittedly there is plenty of anger, frustration, and confusion, to go around. I wonder, however, if it is time to stop the destruction, put away our prejudices on both sides and look for ways to rebuild community with 'all' our neighbors.
