It was a very pleasant surprise to see a female badass character that wasn't badass until she was backed into a corner and saved by a man. No, she was running through everything, giving 120% like Bruce Willis’ character in Die Hard, but with a machete. No sexualizing the character, it was a breath of fresh air for action movies with a lead woman.
