If Makoto Shinkai's movies are the fantasy in reality, then this movie is the reality in fantasy. It's so grounded with how relatable and genuine the characters feel. Each scene transitions really well into the next because it feels like you're watching a real story about a mother and adopted child, and I love it for that.
