Upon reading Malcolm Gladwell’s “David and Goliath'' This exciting spin on the classic childhood story told through centuries provided a more relatable reading experience with the inclusion of recent struggles that today people from all over the world have gone through. I was appalled by Gladwells ability to explain each story in detail whilst still showing how they are all related, bringing the reader back to the main purpose of ordinary people overcoming extraordinary challenges in their own unique way. The many people he decided to focus on showed me how each of us are truly unique Malcolm states “Should I play by the rules or follow met own instincts? Shall I persevere or give up?” This quote sums up what the whole read is like getting into the minds of people when faced with a challenge and seeing them go through this thought process was something Malcolm did beautifully.
