(Spoiler alert). This movie was extraordinarily disappointing. The entire thing felt cheap. The only thing I liked about it was the intro that tied a recap in to the opening credits with homage to the shows intro. Once that was over the rest was tumbling downhill into a giant garbage pit of flaming nonsense. The script felt off and cheap at many points in the movie, leaving me unable to feel connected to the characters because all I could think was, “wow, that felt like something they WOULDN’T say right here”. The plot felt like a cheap way to “find a way to kill Uhtred” and finally make it to Valhalla, but after all he’s gone through, why does he need to look like a scared child with a constipated tummy ache in the final scene? I mean come on… and then to have this weird final scene that seemed documentary style with an ode to present day? Like what the hell? I didn’t get invested in the show to care about the present day in the end. I have google for that.. Great job, Netflix… You managed to screw up yet ANOTHER good show with your greedy woke agenda.
