A genre-redefining movie, the horror literally creeps up on you and chillingly settles in your nerves! Great story, good acting and crisp editing, it creates a perfect ambiance of impending doom without the usual dose of decoys and horror music. Sohum Shah is outstanding as the lead. Revisiting this movie has made me eagerly ('greedily' 😀) look forward to part 2.

Wow! The story struck a deep chord; a feeling of anguish at the cruel hands of fate. The well-etched characters lingered in my thoughts. Made with just six actors, this riveting take on O Henry's 'The Gift of the Magi' brings out the best in Aishwarya Rai as an actor, so much so that even Devgun is overshadowed. The haunting soundtrack blends beautifully with the story. Gulzar's poetry with Shubha Mudgal's voice in 'Piya tora kaisa abhimaan...' is simply unforgettable! A slow burner with a twist in the tale. Must watch!
