I watched this film three times already, I absolutely loved it. A real accurate representation of the awkward and embarrassing tween phase that a girl experiences. It also touches on a relationship between mother and daughter from a Chinese immigrant perspective and as someone that shares a similar background, I cannot express how happy and connected to this film- so the cultural details are all on point - the sense of duty you feel towards your parent is so as well and not to mention it is also refreshing to see TVB (iykyk) and Chinese food in a Pixar film haha But anyways the film is just so funny but yet heart warming and how can we forget…. 4town! They got it all right. The art style is beautiful and all the details from Mei’s tamagotchi 🥺 defo recommend!
