Great book about a very difficult time for a high school student who followed the news about the Viet Nam War and especially the Tet Offensive and the Battle of Hue. It was hard to put together things that seemed right, but also seemed wrong. I can remember my mother being very worried. She was a devout Catholic and feared communism, but also the fact that her two oldest sons were getting up in age. To her and many of us it just didn’t seem like it would ever stop. Mr.Bowden’s book brought back memories, and has added insights to a subject that I have read and studied from all points of view. Thank you Sir for this great work and your other books, especially “Blackhawk Down”
My niece is currently a student at UD and loves it. Good luck and all the best.
