Busy no clear story line. Outfits were beautiful. Music was ok. It didn't keep me engaged. Some of the symbols being thrown up seem very cultish in nature. Listening to the words we created the world, ummm no we didn't, God and God alone created the world. The mixture of Bible with simba took me for a loop. The basket was very much Moses, but then I guess the young boy was Simba, but then he receives his right of passage from a women, and in many African cultures the boy goes for eight days into the wilderness with his dad to become a man.Lots of reference to women and mother earth, but black is king. I was expecting to see much more men showing strength and less fashion show esque themes. I wanted to feel amazing and proud, I feel ok its Beyonce she can get away with this, anybody else would not have made it on Disney.
