i love The Artful Detective (Murdoch Mysteries) and am too wondering why it never became popular on American TV. I just recently discovered it through my cable connection when looking for new shows to try. i like the underlying themes with Murdoch and his wife (the coroner, Dr. Ogden) along with the relationships of the other characters.
