Worst waste of 3 hours with basically no plot to speak of. Weird, overindulgent, leaned so hard on shock value it snapped the concept in half. Literally the only movie I’ve seen that made less sense or was more nauseating was Mad God, but even that had a shred of artistic value and a more engaging “plot”. Babylon is just some sort of horrible pornographic gross nightmare rendition of Singin’ in the Rain, which at the end is finally referenced outright. I don’t think I laughed at anything that was supposed to be funny, or felt a shred of sympathy or investment in a single character. I am a trooper who has to watch any movie to the end, but I wanted to turn this off and scrub it from my brain long before the 1-hour mark. Even the usually-good main cast couldn’t do much with the sewer sludge script.
