I was very disappointed by this movie. Within the first 5 minutes I was put off by how loud and distracting the background music was. It played constantly, overpowering the dialogue. The constant flashes of color/sound were annoying and added nothing to the film either. It's like the director was trying too hard to add drama. It didn't take long after the start for me to stop paying attention.I found many scenes to be corny, especially in the conversations between Oppenheimer and his wife/mistress. The scenes in the boardrooms were the worst part about this film for me. They were excruciatingly boring. The military characters and scientists had nothing to contribute to the film except pointless babbling over nonsense. I had trouble keeping track of who was who and their importance to the story. I felt like this story could have been made more interesting with a smaller cast, more nuanced charcters and better dialogue, a linear sequence, and less overwhelming music/imagery. After two painful hours I walked out exhausted. Frankly, I think this movie bombed.
