I am a long time critter myself but unfortunately the fan hype is too much for this show. I don’t believe the show is going to help bring in new fans. It’s too fast. It looks like too much story has been crammed into 20 min eps. Even the animation is too quick. Not fluid enough like it needs more frames in the movement, IDk. Each still frame is great but every 30 secs needs drastically slowed down to let the audience take in what they’re seeing. I love Critical Role but this show isn’t really that good. Painfully obvious foreshadowing in the first 5 mins and an entire plot point wrapped up by the end of episode 2 like it was the damn season finale. I’ve never even seen campaign 1 and the beginning of this series already has me disinterested in the rest of what’s to come. I only bought Amazon Prime to watch this show but I won’t keep it because of it. I really wanted this to be good but after finishing Arcane on Netflix and seeing what masterful storytelling and deep characters really look like, the flaws of this series are painfully obvious. I wouldn’t recommend it. Please, go watch Critical Role. It’s far superior to this show. And the best way to introduce yourself to D&D. Again, I’m sorry. It’s just an honest opinion from a fan.
