Total waste of time. The world building is good and description too. Other than that. It drags on with uninteresting character and a needlessly dark plot. It’s perverted, that’s the best way to put random scenes of sexual violence when there was no alluding to anything like it before. The book is tame for the first half then goes from 0-100. The plot twists were fine. I’m concerned about the why the author feels the need to write about characters he clearly cannot do justice. The teen girl protagonist sounds cliche and fake. Having the girl turn 18 and have relations with an older man is also concerning considering how purposefully juvenile she acts before it. This writer is out of touch and annoying. The dialogue ruins most of it.
