As an adult that grew up with a violent father the story is true to life. Police show up and leave. A common thread in my life as a child then a young woman abused by my husband - the police came and left after asking what I did to provoke my husband.
Abuse is messy and complicated for all involved. My father was raised by alcoholic parents who beat him daily.
The artistic side to the story is intriguing! Enjoyed this very much.
