Unfortunately, I'm not quite sure how else to describe this book as simply uninteresting. I have no doubt that Melissa Gilbert is a nice human being, a good mother, and then all around good egg. But the various stories within the book describing her life are just filled with anecdotes and stories that make me wonder " who cares?"
People are allowed their opinions and by all means this was her book and her story. She has every right to write whatever she feels, and it was our choice to read it. That being said, there are parts of this book where I felt lectured to. I don't care or somebody is on the political spectrum, but there are many times in this book where she just simply comes out as an extreme leftist. I do not know if that's her intent, but it just made me feel lectured to .
