I don’t think it is possible to please everyone with a final episode for a series as dramatic as game of thrones. As one who has read all of the books and watched every episode of the series, I can honestly say that I think the writers did an amazing job with the final episode. There is no way anyone could top the first episodes or hope to resolve every issue in the last episode. I don’t know what people were looking for, but there wasn’t going to be perfect ending, there couldn’t be. I thought the way everything was resolved was heartfelt on some parts and true to the story. Congrats to all involved!
