If you skip reading the book you are really missing out. While most movies based on books are always better than the alternative you always get more from the book. This one is well worth your time I did not want to put it down.

Excellent academy award winning acting! After reading the reviews I watched expecting something much different and I was pleasantly surprised. I am actually wondering if those “reviewers” even saw the movie. I was absolutely riveted from start to finish!

Not at all related to anything not the book not the old series. What a waste after all the hype. Poor lighting, bad acting boring. I don’t know … SMH I am still laughing at how poorly this was done. I’m shocked Sara Shepard agreed to ruin her reputation as a writer with this. Maybe it’s my age but in disappointed in her being such a trader to her talent and reputation. Don’t waste your time here. No efforts on costumes and design, horrible music that does not fit the scenes and a A started out creepy and quickly faded into such a joke I couldn’t watch anymore. Two thumbs down for this series. Better luck next time HBO.
