visuals are beautiful. the story is also decent. How ev er... The music is not the best. some songs are just hastily made and forgettable. the more memorable ones just happen to be a repetition of catchphrases. dare I say it's better off not made into a musical?

The music is horrible and the sound effects worse. Visually entertaining although having dieffenbacchias with blue plastic tulips really irks me. Lemme just pour salt on any wound the sound editor has because still can't get over the barking dog sound effect in addition to the incessant high pith noise (which is a constant and unnecessary moodsetting throughout). Story is decent. Acting is sometimes good sometimes bad (that fromage lab guy is like the producer's son who wants to be an actor but failed on his own).

Marketing already failed when inclusivity is its angle. Brooklyn99 didn't market the chief as gay and the show worked well without trying to shove inclusivity into its audience's mouths. Tommy had no other personality than a stereotypical butch. Some interesting side stories but mostly just a forced plot on Tommy's unrelatable struggles.
