Plotting was pretty chaotic, personality development was definitely designed for the young adult crowd...characters we've seen in multiple pulp fiction stories. A good editor might have improved it, but it was definitely a waste of time and money for me. Not sure where the author's fame comes from, and the ending was really bad - not sure if she is setting up a sequel, or a series based on the main character.
