I have not read the book, but I have read the book of Hosea quite a few times. The movie depicted Christs love for His bride well, Michael never giving up on Angel. There are many storylines added that are not in the book of Hosea, such as Angels hardship to have children. The acting was pretty good and believable based on other Christian movies. I watched it with a girlfriend of mine. Would not watch it with my husband. Don't recommend the movie to any man that is trying not to put lustful thoughts into the mind, It's disappointing to see the movie mimmick Hollywood with putting sex scenes in there. Plus showing Angel naked and barely covered several times. Hollywood produces enough softporn, Christian movies don't need to do the same to make men stumble. I've watched other movies based on Hosea that didn't do the naked and sex scenes, like Amazing Love. It is possible to make a movie without these things.
