The story is a little complicated in the beginning. Our perspective (as viewers) is clouded with anxiety and negativity because of the heavy focus on the protagonists social anxiety and interpersonal inadequacies. In my opinion, the joy that the other Pokemon series brought to the viewer is completely lost in Pokemon Horizon. I really wanted to like it, but it really missed the mark.
