This was the first good book on India and Pakistan's tussle on KASHMIR and now Amb Dasgupta's latest book on the 1971 War with regards to how Bangla Desh was won and why Indian Army went easy in the West ..........My research tells me Mrs Gandhi was under pressure from Soviets and USA aka Nixon to go easy and not break Pakistan. AMB DP DHAR carried this message to Gen Manekshaw and Lt Gen KP Candeth
