Really struggled with this one. Very very long, with not much reward. Big fan of both phoenix, and the director. But I felt it went nowhere, after 3.5 hours. Some scenes certainly stick in your head, but I’m still wondering what it was all about. Expected it to be dark, but I was also totally confused. Nothing was succinct, and we left feeling underwhelmed and that we had wasted our afternoon.
