She was happy to lie and deceive and commit adultery . Are we to admire her for this?Her husband is a product of his environment.His father was violent yet he aspired to a better life, worked hard and did his best but this is not good enough for her.She can justify her actions as wanting happiness but if he was to" snap" and become violent or walk away he would be judged as a criminal. One son is about to take off with the Buddhist vegan girl friend to repair the world starting with Tibet, his education and chance for advancement being put on hold .The other son ,not academically or traditional male role inclined wants to go to "cooking school". Will any of our characters make the most of life or will they all needlessly throw it away? I would estimate that about 90 % 0f the worlds population would not mind changing places with them to have what they have,a home, love,family and prospects.
