I wanted to like it more. I grew up playing Tekken so it's kind of an auto-watch for me. But the show ultimately fell flat. Some characters are fully realized while others remain just as 1-dimensional as their video game counter part. The fighting felt supper sluggish. It often does not even feel like the characters are fighting each other. They just take turns hitting each other like an rpg. It's just not choreographed well. I ultimately think this being 6 episodes for 20 minutes each make it feel like a glorified marketing advertisement for their main game rather than a series I would see continue. This series would have had more success being an hour long. It would allow the opportunity to show all the fighters personal motivations for being there. On a more positive note, the show LOOKS beautiful. The art style really lends itself to these characters.
