I am 55 I loved this game, won both using gold and not using gold and ranked pretty good. Here is what goes wrong the data base reads your gold use or lack of gold use and adjusts the game accordingly while people deny use of gold frequently and often rail against gold use, the game of course is designed to make money for the developers and that they do. HOWEVER here is what happens if you have BUG or BALANCE BUG or GLITCH which my computer programmer friend explained to me, the DEVELOPERS offer no customer assistance and blame game the PLAYER for the error, and you as the PLAYER lose every time, then if you PROVE the ERROR the developer will issue a refund and DEDUCT that refund from your account MY account now sits at 659,000 NEGATIVE GOLD, that is correct NEGATIVE GOLD and my account was ranked well so it makes it hard to start over verses others who use gold and deny using gold. So I and many I have in Social Media circle have stopped playing and all letters to mitigate the BUG and get back to playing have gone unanswered and I am not mad I lost GOLD just MAD THEY HAVE ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE and I even got my bank to refund me due to the bad behavior of the DEVELOPERS. I think I will be the record holder soon with 1 MILLION NEGATIVE GOLD and the developers think I will buy this amount to restore my game. NO HAPPENING EVER!
