It is OK if you are watching with someone who really likes it. You can stare at the screen and think of something else you need to think about. You won't be destructed, the show won't be destructed. But when you pay attention, you see that the show is lame and the character manners are annoying, and to some extent dumb, which some may find adorable because it is no harm. The other person from across the island may find it funny and attaching. But to be fair, can you show at least in any one episode a guy kissing a girl? They show a gas barbecue grill (20+ episodes in a raw) by the motel where all the main characters happened to live, but when they shoot an episode about a barbecue party, this one is gone and they bring another one from the junk to make it funny.
