A masterpiece of Christian film.
Reality meets necessity, trouble meets forgiveness and sinners meet the saviour.
It has a lovely blend of relativity to the problems in modern living, alongside the pressing and unparalleled importance of true knowledge of Jesus through his word, repentance and transformation.
The plot twist at the end is something I could never have foreseen and is nothing short of fitting for such a powerful film.
The young characters were brilliant, especially given the volume of screen time they all have, it never felt cringe, uncomfortable, or awkward to watch as some other films that attempt to do so.
Even for those who are not Christian, this film will be a breeze and blessing to watch in their own sight, there is a purposeful lack of condemnation and repetitive declaration of "unbelievers are going to burn in hell", instead a deep routed human search to discover something greater than the grave that await us all. This search is ultimately going to throw up the supernatural, and enters the word of God that guides from the physical into the supernatural. It displays the love of God, the will of individual humans to use their own helping of Gods love for something greater than themselves, after discovering God has created them for more than the deadline that death forces on them.
The story unfolds using elderly and younger generations, which is always insightful and powerful, Johnathan Sperry sets a standard that any human who knows or seeks true love will love to reach, and sends a clear message as to who those standards derive from and are set by.
Inspirational and motivating. Believer or unbeliever, the least I can say for all, is that no matter who you are, what you have done, if heaven is real, if hell is real, then Jesus is real, then I desire you to be in Heaven with Jesus, and life should be about nothing more than making sure that everyone at least hears about heaven, their God and how to get there before death comes knocking. Even if my heart says that I cannot accept it, then the mere possibility alone means I cannot die without making sure I check it out, for if I ignore it, and I loved all my family and friends in vain, and they go to hell forever, then I think my own guilt of not telling them about Jesus might just in itself prevent me from being with the Lord.
God bless you all!
I suggest "Time Changer", which is another great and insightful film by Rich Christiano, it has some great laughs whilst a relatable story and again powerful message.
