This game was a major set back from the AC games before. Don't waist the money. I'm a huge AC fan but this was a HUGE disappointment in my opinion. Mirage should have been a separate series or its own story not a carry over of the AC franchise.
1) combat isn't good and they rely too much on stealth. If you get caught, you don't have the ability to fight multiple at once like all times before. In reality, you are playing entirely on stealth and no fighting. Don't expect much.
2) lack of health. If you try to even fight multiple, you can hardly block which then you die quickly.
3) overcomplicated puzzles just to get chests, unlock doors and follow trails. Why do you need to run to one side of the map for a key and than back. The key is unlikely to be in that specific area.
4) not being able to hide when caught. You get pushed out the hiding place and forced to fight, even though you'll likely die. You have to rely on running away.
5) excess of restricted areas, why make the entrance into a city restricted? It's like that for every location.
6) lack of personal choice of upgrades and capabilities and functionality of the game. You can't choose your personal upgrades, the game chooses it for you. No customization what so ever, other than the clothes but even those are presets.
7) lack of substance of the story line. The general plot gets lost. Basim has nightmares of a monster but don't expect to actually learn about the monster until you end the main story. You have to go through to kill the order for no reason. Sure, you can say the master wanted basim focused on killing for her agenda but there was no reason to go through, kill the order, only for it to not stick. The plot lacks. Spoiler alert, it's also anti climatic for the monster. It seems interesting but it's really not so don't get your hopes up for a fight.
8) limited map space. You are running back and forth to the same parts of the map so don't expect to discover entirely different areas related to the missions. You'll be going back and forth.
9) no side missions, entirely focused on the main side quest which ends very anti climatic (spoiler)
10) you never leave the anumis like all other AC before this
11) It does not play off of the previous AC, like every last one of the previous games, this was a completely separate story line
12) not a long game took me 25ish hours to complete but there was no hype or no connection to the game like all the others before.
