Sound of this album is solid, maybe best since the black album, but that's pretty much it.
The album fails to ignite your soul and amp you up with energy. Most of the songs sound kinda same, generic, little too long, a bit boring and forgettable. It sounds like they made this album out of jam sessions.
On the other hand, James' voice and lyrics are surprisingly strong and his delivery is authentic and emotional, but It's such a shame that it all gets buried in the mud of never-ending riff introduction, repetitiveness, too simple drum beats and improvised guitar solos.
When it comes to lyrics and vocals, this album is much better than Hardwired in that regard, but musically it's like Hardwired meets Load/Reload.
If you don't like Load/Reload, you're not gonna like this.
