When I first heard president snow would be the main character for this book I couldn’t wait to read it. I love when a villain is well developed and has a reason for being evil. I thought this was the one thing lacking from the original trilogy. This book added that for me and not only made for a great book but genuinely added to the first trilogy, which is the point of a prequel. It was so exciting learning how the Hunger Games were started and how the customs of the Hunger Games came to be. I also liked that the horrible things Coriolanus did were rationalized as he would rationalize them to himself. It truly made you see how he believed he was doing the right thing. I won’t give any spoilers, but even the craziest things he did, were rationalized. The Hunger Games are my favorite books and I would almost say this way my favorite in the series because it was so different. This book absolutely did not disappoint!
