Warning: SPOILERS AHEAD! Overall, it was an extremely boring movie. You are waiting for the plot to unfold and you are left hanging at the end with such a basic plot that it is totally underwhelming and you feel cheated. It’s also so unrealistic in the sense, the quirky/quiet guy ends up getting the hottest girl in school after she breaks up with the stereotypical sports jock / conceded meathead. Quirky guy and captain of the cheerleaders end up sharing a kid at the end followed by some cheesy follow up message that claims after the two went off to college, they wrote each other everyday and they are still together today. In what world would the hottest girl in high school go off to college but end up writing to daily and staying with the quirky/quiet guy from high school? In the real world, she would’ve 100% met some other guy off at college and given the quirky/quiet high school guy the boot. Anyway, if you are looking for a completely mindless rom/com from the 90’s with a plot that a chimpanzee could follow, watch can’t hardly wait IMMEDIATELY!!

This show was about as exciting as watching paint dry. I’m actually embarrassed to admit that I stuck it out and watched all 10 episodes. I kept telling myself ‘It’s going to get betterI’ unfortunately, it never did. Some of the worst, overall casting I’ve ever seen. The lead actress is a complete trainwreck. I found her performance so exhausting to watch. Her overreacting is extremely cringe and she fundamentally comes across as such an unlikeable character. Same thing with her co-lead partner/husband. His character was not entertaining and I felt that his overreacting was just as bad. The only acting that could be described as acceptable was the character of Amber’s brother. Otherwise, I’m disappointed with how the series never delivered on what should’ve been an exciting and captivating storyline. The scenes were so long and drawn out that it left me bored and wishing the episode would just finally end. The writing and poor acting by the two leads definitely makes this one of the worst series I’ve watched, in the past several years. The ending was so exhausting and I was actually hoping the lead actress would just be left in South America. That way, she could meet her desired outcome of getting kidnapped again and hopefully, the drug lords or military would finish the job on her, this time. I can not imagine this show ever returning for another season. I have seen the rare and unexpected ‘glowing reviews’ and I’m sincerely perplexed with how anyone was entertained with this dry, boring and pathetic excuse of a show. Anyway, if you haven’t watched any episodes, do yourself a favor, don’t start watching it. You will most likely get pulled into the same false sense of hope that I had and after you waste nearly 10 hrs. of your life, you will be so let down that you could actually find yourself getting upset that the writers/actors screwed this up SO BAD! Do yourself a favor, move on and watch literally anything else. Honestly, picking nearly anything else will be a better pick vs. watching this turd of a show.
