Derek Jacobi’s portrayal of Hamlet in the BBC version that I watched recently on TV, was the most heartbreaking as well as the most believable one I have ever seen. Hamlet has never been one of my favorite or beloved Shakespearian protagonists, probably because he never pierced my heart the way King Lear or Othello did. He always seemed way too smart to let his emotions get the better of him. Jacobi’s art as an actor, was in convincing us that Hamlet was as compellingly human and vulnerable as the other two, when it comes to our responses to feeling betrayed in both, love and loyalty, by the ones from whom we expect and demand it the most.

Very disappointing considering that the 2 stars, Jack Lemon and Shirley McLaine are 2 of my favorites. The comedy has not aged well at all.

One of the greatest “scary” movies I’ve ever seen. The “mad” nun sends shivers up my spine to this day. Deborah Kerr, wonderful as always!

Moving and heartbreaking with wonderful performances by Sophia Loren and Ibrahima Gueye

I just started watching this having no idea what it was about. I’m hooked! The lead actress is terrific and I can’t wait to see how this plays out.

Kept me riveted from start to finish! The only thing that sounded a little odd was Daniel Craig’s very-hard-to-place accent!

I felt sick to my stomach watching this film..It is unlike any horror film that I’ve ever seen in the sense that I couldn’t decide whether I was more terrified or more nauseated while watching. But I couldn’t stop watching.
