I have watched a lot of top rated sitcoms over the years but the office will always top the others because it's an art. You don't need the background audience laughs to find it funny, that's the beauty of it. It's all about the humor. The small details, screenwriting, actor's expressions, their interaction with the camera, camera capturing each character's reaction and many more, what makes this show a masterpiece. What I love the most about this show is the writing does not tell or show everything literally. It depends on us, the viewers, based on our sense of humor, that how much we get it. I'd say if a sitcom could be a comedy and a classic at the same time, this TV show is the one.
