Very funny and often hilarious. Makes me laugh so much I cry with tears. One of my favourite old movies. Great story, script, mansion set and characters. Love the crafty mouse and the extermination cat. Good ending and very satisfying revisit of a goodie but an oldie! Can't explain the rotten tomatoes rating. Just think they are totally off the mark sometimes. So glad we have our own DVD of this movie as it's hard to find, it's owners never part with it and it's a classic comedy. Highly recommended.

Increasingly biased coverage. Sadly not balanced reporting. Not interested in pursuing a full story or providing alternative views. Oblivious to answers to questions and more interested in their own foregone conclusions. Reporters full of their own self importance and relevancy. They need to stop talking in their own echo chamber and meet a more diverse group of Australians. Parochial selection of stories. Relentless coverage of stories that are not particularly interesting to wider public. Absolutely bored to tears about the overdone "Sports Rorts reports". Many interview's and subjects scripted for the ABC by the ABC following their own agenda. Its not rocket science to understand there are remarkable and average members in both parties and good and poor policies in both parties. Why the ABC just has to concentrate on the contraversial aspects of one party and not give a balanced view of a bigger picture just shows their poor reflection of reality. Used to watch every night now try to watch once a week hoping to detect a quantum change in direction. Watched this evening for my weekly test and trial and to my delight saw Paul Kennedy is now reporting. Hurrah and what a good change. Thank-you ABC!

The show was 5 stars some years ago. Now hardly seems to present the national news. Is this a news program or a morning breakfast chat show? If so change the name to ' ABC morning chit chat'. Very biased views of many topics. Mindless pursuit of any parochial political issue until it has been chewed long past its use by date. If I have to be subjected to another round of hours of coverage of any leadership spills I will just be sick. Presenters are certainly not impartial and now no longer offering balanced view. I hear the concept of ' mood of the nation' when we are really hearing the mood of the ABC reporter. A bit too much Melbourne news and sport. Really it is not the centre of the world!! Is a text message from a rugby league player 'news' or salacious gossip? Are the weekly team appointments and injuries of AFL players really memorable world breaking news items? If I suggested we spend 10 minutes every morning discussing fishing most viewers would predictably groan, but we are subjected to an enormous amount of discussion about oval leather ball carrying players and predicaments. Surely the entire world doesn't revolve around ball sports? Do we need so much sport news so we don't confront any difficult questions? I like the weather and like Lisa. Like the daily financial report( miss Del). Like the weekly movie review. Like country news and presenters. Not enough world news. Not enough real Australian news. Best coverage of Australian news is the 5 minutes given to newspaper headlines. Sadly considering investigating a different channel for the first time in many years! Finding the aggressive interviewing style taken by Michael Rowling difficult to watch. He is trying for self importance by asking biased inflammatory questions. Is it really the responsibility of the liberal or labour party that we have covid, floods, fire or a war in the Eastern Europe? Can a politician really stop the rain? Is it so revealing to find out we have a interest rate rise when it is happening worldwide. Can he not find one pleasant thing to say about anything. Fancy blue suits do not hide a sour puss wearing tight underpants. Open minded viewers find his interview style most unattractive.

Intense but captivating. Great portrayal of life, loss, injury, family, heartbreak and recovery. Especially enjoyed Jackie Weavers portrayal of silly but caring Mum/ Granny. House set and beach landscape stunning. Children's antics and stories very compelling. Great interaction between husband and wife dealing with hard times. Magpie was just a small part of the story for me. Thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Didn't mind the predictable ending. Thank heavens there was a light at the end of this tunnel.

Waited all year to watch the epic. The whole story is a twisted and unsatisfactory tale of revenge and love. I did think half way through there was no way this epic can end well and I was right! Good landscapes, sets, settings. Expected the violence after all it was a viking setting, didn't expect the wavering, some say poetic, story of who was really getting justice. Left feeling I had just wasted 2 hours watching a story of confusion. I have enough confusion in my life to really want to see it reflected on the big screen.
