I stumbled across this and fell in love instantly.
The actors are so good. The costumes, cinematography and locations are set perfectly and the interpretation of this wonderful story is spot on.
Liv Tyler is really exquisite in this.

I've read this twice. After a break of two years I had given my copy away and something made me buy another copy and it's such a good read. I've now passed it on to my bloke...he will be chilled by it in more ways than one.

As in most of Mr Branagh's films, the large emphasis on aesthetics is so pleasant but I feel the wording is so careful that not enough is said. It's nice to see but dull. I would like a bit more conversation as opposed to characters shouting at each other. For me, it's close but no biscuit.
