It wasn't too bad but it wasn't too good either, it was extemely mediocre in terms of writing and plot. Overhyped by the medias, honestly to me it wasn't even touching from start to end although im well aware of the theme and meaning of this book: to live everyday like its your last and appreciate every moment in your life. But the writing wasn't even all that compelling and so is the plot, it was just a train of events of what they did together. Not to mention, we don't get to see them interact until HALF the book, and the previous 100 pages did not give much introspection about them either. The whole idea of death cast could've had so much potential for a better plot, and even though death cast was not the main point, it would still be better to find out more about how death cast knows the deaths of people and the secrets behind death cast. I also disliked the fact that rufus and mateo had a kiss out of nowhere considering how they were so good together as friends, their romance was very unnecessary, and i didn't think of them to be close enough to even be romantically involved. their desths were written in a very mediocre way, i was expecting more, unfortunately the book didn't delivered what i wanted.
