I've been the tax preparer in our family for more than 40 years. I find this tax guide to be the most thorough and best organized of the tax guides out available.
They publish addendums if tax law changes after the year's edition has gone to press. so I find I never get caught with redoing a tax filing.
Yet taxes can be done as soon as one receives one's w-2/ s and other required documents.
Using this guide, I've only been audited once . . .and that was because we had an unusually high medical deduction, I took all my documents and came away with a slightly higher tax deducaton than I'd thought we would get; it seems I'd missed a newly added exemption; it was actually in tax guide. but only took up an inch of column space.
