Ok. So. The cinematography is amazing. Top notch. The atmosphere...amazing. the acting is excellent. The set design, costumes and make-up is astounding.
But, it was slow.
And I didn't care about ANY of the characters. And honestly, we've seen this before. I was hoping for another story. Something else. Deeper. Darker maybe. Bram Stokers Dracula had it's problems, that's a given. But I cared about Mina. I cared about Dracula. They were interesting characters.
The characters in this movie were interchangeable. The monster, interesting for about 5 minutes. It could have been so much.
Also, could have done with a few less screaming close ups of disturbing images. It borders on absurdity.
Biggest disappointment of '24.
