A really fun movie...the concept was the basis for a TV show some decades ago...was it called "Visitors"?...in which an interstellar slave ship had crashed on Earth and the humanoid cargo had no means of leaving and subsequently became a new lowest-strata of societies around the world, and one of them becomes an LA cop. Well...except for the fact that this is Tolkien instead of Asimov. But NEVER MIND ALL THAT. It's just a fun movie that allows you to enthusiastically root for the good guys and boo the bad guys. And of course plenty of doors left open for sequels, which I would certainly watch! Heartily recommend to people who like ACTION and FANTASY - but this isn't for pre-teens!
