Coming from a huge FNaF fan, from reading the books to watching matpats first theory video.
Its decent, alot of room for improvement, the pacing felt a bit off feels like things were chopped out. this movie does not shy away from showing its a pg-13, felt really kiddy and silly at times, i don't mind that in the movie. but a lot of the advertising for this movie made you think it was gonna be quite a different tone to what released, the "together we are fnaf" tiktok thingy is kinda actually there for a bit of the movie but it is played as more a lure than a genuine thing.
On a brighter note the way they handled gore in this pg-13 movie was really really clever, it really lets you fill in the gaps, and sometimes the shadows show everything.
Scares wise, cupcake seemed to be the only animatronic getting action,
and the scariest jumpscares were gag jumpscares by a familiar face as a little toy.
however this movie is quite good for lore/references with some decent drops and some smaller confirmations of theories.
I think its all but confirmed we'll get a sequel especially with the ending of this movie, so if they focus less on friendly animatronics and make it a bit more gritty and horror focused. Scott could really nail it.
If you are a fan of FNaF its obviously a must see, but for an outsider this movie could disappoint.
