I'm a bit late with jumping on the Empire train...but I dozed off last week while watching Hulu, woke up to the first episode on my tv, and was INSTANTLY hooked. Currently in the middle of the third season and can't wait to see what happens! I remember scrolling by a lot of "Empire vs. Power" drama online in the past, and while they are both amazing shows...I feel like the storyline with Empire is just way more intriguing. It just sucks you in to where you can't help but to end up becoming invested in loving (lol or hating) the characters! The chemistry between Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard is FIRE. And as a huge music lover, I am also digging the fact that a good majority of the cast is gifted in acting, singing, and/or playing instruments. I will say that going into this show already aware of the Jussie Smollett situation, it makes me a little sad to watch his performances because his voice was AMAZING. He was legitimately talented and would have KILLED it as a musical artist. Controversy aside, I'm wondering how and why I didn't check out this series sooner! Absolutely obsessed!
