Entertaining and beautifully shot. Big Tolkien fan here and although the plot and characters do veer from the original storyline in the Silmarillion, it was entertaining and a joy to see characters from the stories come alive on screen again. Grateful for this however it’s hard to see how a billion dollars was spent (also often commented by many reviewers here). Great first 2 episodes and looking forward to more. The 1 star reviews are either from purists or anti-woke people who are angry at “self-sufficient female characters and diversity casting”. It’s a show and entertainment - just watch it and enjoy. Ignore the racist and sexist troll comments. In this case, google user reviews are not reliable.
