Was in a bar last Saturday at the Captain Cook Hotel in Anchorage, (where Swank’s character is shown in several scenes). I met a retired editor for the real Anchorage newspaper. He said “the show is pretty good.” Told him I had considered journalism back in college, but I knew I didn’t have a fearless, strong and forceful personality so probably wouldn’t have worked. Very unlike Swank’s Eileen. I was in Alaska for an educator job fair last weekend, as a mature teacher hoping to soon sign a contract. Remote indigenous village, Copper River, Kodiak? Hoping the show is renewed as I continue my blossoming relationship with the state.
