This is from the perspective of an "Aliens" fan.
Some spoilers ahead.
To the fans...... don't go to theaters for this! Wait for it to arrive on "YouTube".
For anyone that has not followed the franchise, they probably gave it great stars. Thinking it was an ok low budget slasher flick.
Well, as I expected, having a bunch of teenagers take on full blown Aliens....was ridiculous. Especially, being as a full squad of seasoned marines got destroyed in Aliens 2 (the best of the franchise).
These kids knew how to fully operate a ship that wasn't theirs, knew the full layout of this old abandoned ship and how everything works, as well as have full knowledge on how to operate weaponry. People this age can barely drive a manual transmission.
Then, for them to "so bravely" walk right up to the Aliens to fight. I know this is Syfy......but, there should be some plausibility.
Also, the whole plot as to why they were attempting all this in the first place, made no sense at all. It's like they just rushed it, to get to the Aliens. So much so, that you had zero attachment to the characters. Other than maybe 2 of them. Which, those 2 and their relationship was a little confusing.
The cgi of the android that they tried to bring back......was absolutely horrible. Looked like a video game. But....many of the other visuals were ok.
The end, the supposed gross scene, was not really that gross. Plus, that is not how it works when the embryo is planted. They must not have done their homework.
The "only" part/character that did amazing, was the one that played the android. He did an awesome job. The others......meh.
Very disappointed.
How hard is it to find good writers????????
