I think I would have been more forgiving of the movie if I hadn’t read the book. There were so many moments where I found myself thinking, “That’s not how it happened in the book,” or “They left out an important part.” That said, I found the movie to be quite unrealistic, especially in how the characters first met. The pacing also felt off—slow at the beginning, then suddenly packed with drama. I believe there was a lot of room for improvement, aside from the characters not looking like their descriptions in the book.
