Ezra Joseph

It's Lana Wachowski ending the Matrix on her own terms, instead of letting WB ruin it. It has some really interesting ideas on expanding the lore of the universe. The original movies had tons of pre-production time to get the stunts just right and to give the films a distinctive visual language. While the stunt performers are really good in this movie too, it feels like they weren't given enough time to make it visually striking.

Although the graphics were certainly great and the worlds were fun to explore, the combat lacked depth and was overly-simplified. Combat encounters often boiled down to just mashing the attack button, with no real challenge or skill. The use of attractions to fight large groups of enemies felt out of place as well; it was like the enemy groups were added to justify including the attractions, instead of the other way around.
